Etiquette and Moderation of the Water Leadership and Innovation Action Forum

To ensure that all members of this community have the best experience, we have developed some guidelines for participation.
By joining the Water Leadership and Innovation Action Forum on LinkedIn, you are agreeing that you have read, and will adhere to the following rules and guidelines. Please note that since the community forum is run through a third party platform, the rules and policies of LinkedIn apply to all community members. Etiquette
- Always respect the views of all participants, even if they do not agree with your own views.
- Respect the purpose of the community. The community is meant to share information on relevant research, technologies, facilities, etc., advertise relevant events, research and job postings. The forum is NOT meant to be a location to sell products or services.
- Be constructive, try to keep responses positive.
- Respect intellectual property. Do not post content without permission from the creator, and ensure you specify any content that should not be reused.
- State concisely and clearly the topic of your post so that members can respond appropriately.
- Read through all previous information and conversations ahead of formulating a response.
- If you notice inappropriate responses/comments being made on the forum, bring this information to the administrators. Do not try to engage, this could escalate the issue.
- Ensure your cap locks is turned off.
- Please try to use proper English and avoid short forms and acronyms when possible.
Moderation
This site is subject to the following moderation rules:
- Never post personal information about another forum participant.
- Do not defame anyone or any organization. Defamation is defined as content that injures the reputation of a third party.
- Do not post anything that is, or could be considered discriminative.
- Do not use obscenities or profane language.
- Do not insult or harass anyone.
- Do not post the link to any inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content.
- Do not post any advertisements or directly try to sell a product.
Sanction
Breach of any of the moderation rules could result in any of the following actions:
- Removal of content: any comment violating the moderation rules will be removed.
- Temporary suspension: any person(s) who continuously disobeys the moderation rules will be suspended from the forum. The length of the suspension will be up to the discretion of the moderators.
- Permanent expulsion: any person(s) who continues to violate the moderation rules after a temporary suspension period will be immediately and permanently removed from the forum.
