MBR Modeling
An Application of Machine Learning in Wastewater Modeling : Prediction of Membrane Fouling for Membrane Bioreactors
OWC partners McMaster University & Veolia’s collaborative study adopted the data-driven machine learning techniques to build models to predict transmembrane pressure at various stages of the MBR production cycle.

In this video, Prof. Zoe Li from McMaster University presents :
- Fundamental differences between mechanistic models and data-driven models and their application in wastewater treatment processes,
- Case study for prediction of membrane fouling for membrane bioreactors and critical findings,
- Other potential applications of machine learning for wastewater modeling.
