The Water Institute’s Research Symposium 2014 will be held May 1, 2014 at the University of Waterloo, and will showcase the breadth of Waterloo’s water research and provide an opportunity for organizations and individuals to interact with researchers and students.

The Research Symposium is open to External Partners and non-partners of the Water Institute. Silver, Gold, and Platinum partners receive one, three, and three registrations respectively as a benefit of membership. Additional registrations for partners, or registrations for non-partners, are available for $250 (including HST).

The Research Symposium will be immediately followed by the Institute’s 2014 Distinguished Lecture, Student Poster Exhibition and Reception. The 2014 Distinguished Lecturer is Dr. Peter H. Gleick, President and Co-founder, Pacific Institute. Dr. Gleick’s lecture, the “The Past, Present and Future of the World’s Water”, will review the three “Ages” in water, from early use through the industrial revolution, to what Dr. Gleick considers the ongoing transition to a sustainable water future.
