Request for Proposals: White Paper on the Feasibility of Establishing a Framework for Public Health Monitoring

Water Reuse Foundation

Deadline: June 30, 2015
Value: $25,000 (matching funds required)

The primary objectives of this project are to prepare a white paper that addresses the following:

  • Determine whether it is technically feasible to identify acute and/or sub chronic population risks attributable to consumption of water produced as part of a direct potable reuse (DPR) project (e.g., a public health monitoring framework);
  • Evaluate the feasibility of collecting and interpreting information for a public health monitoring framework; and
  • Evaluate the types of baseline data that would be necessary to inform potential health effects studies resulting from the implementation of DPR

MITACS

MITACS Accelerate Internships – Standard

Mitacs-Accelerate is Canada’s premiere research internship program. It connects companies with over 50 research-based universities through graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, who apply their specialized expertise to business research challenges. Interns transfer their skills from theory to real-world application, while the companies gain a competitive advantage by accessing high-quality research expertise.

MITACS Accelerate Clusters

Mitacs-Accelerate clusters are an alternative for larger research projects involving multiple Graduate students and/or Post-doctoral Fellows. Applicants may apply once for an Accelerate Cluster involving a minimum of three interns, at least six 4-month internship segments, and a minimum of one industrial partner.

For more information, please contact Anna Ziolecki or visit the MITACS website.
