TRITON
Intelligent Water Surveillance®
TRITON Intelligent Water Surveillance® combines superior signal processing, multi-source data fusion technologies and a high-resolution spectrometric system to provide accurate water quality information and synthesize sensor-acquired data streams in real-time. Using the most advanced online water quality sensors, spectrometer and signal processing technologies, TRITON empowers government authorities and water facilities to preventively manage contamination events, effectively protecting public health, meeting World Health Organization (WHO) standards and avoiding the potential social and economic losses associated with these events.

TRITON Innovation Highlights
TRITON is an integrated sensor platform for continuous online monitoring of critical water quality parameters (e.g., pH, turbidity, COD, chlorine, dissolved oxygen, etc.), water contaminants for compliance, research, and surveillance (e.g., nitrate, chromium, disinfection by-products, microcystin, etc.), and key operational measures for assessing the efficiency and functionality of water treatment and distribution (e.g., flow rate, line pressure, water level, etc).
As such, TRITON is applicable for any type of water monitoring, be it a major drinking water plant, a standalone facility for industrial wastewater remediation, or a remotely situated source water monitor.

TRITON can be seamlessly integrated with existing sensor infrastructure and is compatible with any additional sensor(s) required customers’ unique applications. AUG’s decades of experience in sensor fusion ensures that TRITON will remain relevant despite the continuous introduction of new-and-improved sensors and dedicated instruments to address emerging contaminants and changing regulatory demands. The system can also be made to utilize any data transmission method or protocol users prefer (e.g., Ethernet, Wi-Fi, LTE, analog, LoRa, ModBUS, HART, etc.), and user data is guaranteed safe and secure: users have the option of transmitting data to AUG’s secure server for visualization and storage, or to their own servers for highly confidential data.
Recent Innovative Technology
Drinking water treatment plants around the world face the challenge of maintaining low levels of disinfection by-products (DBPs) such as trihalomethanes (THMs). To address this issue, AUG has developed a compact photonics-based system which can automatically and continuously monitor total THM (TTHM) at ppb levels. If the system detects any problems — or trends that could lead to problems if not addressed promptly — it notifies operators immediately with a text or email so they can take corrective action right away.
